#44 Solar Musik

The Legend of the Vanishing Washington: Three stoned musicians go to a motel to sleep off a bender. The clerk says the room is $30, so each guy chips in a $10 bill and they all stumble up to their room. After a while, the clerk suddenly remembers, 'Hey, we have a $25 Musician's Special.' So he calls the bellhop over and gives him a $5 refund to take up to the room. On the way up in the elevator, the bellhop thinks to himself, 'Those guys were wasted, they'll never know. I'll just give each of the three guys a dollar back, so they'll have only paid $9 each for their room, and I'll keep $2 for myself.' Which he does, even though they were too smashed to care. So, in the end, the musicians (who each got a buck back) paid $27 ($9 x 3 guys) and the bellhop kept $2 for himself. $27 + $2 = $29. Thus... The Legend of the Vanishing Washington. Recorded live.

  1. What about the other legend of the vanishing Washington?

"The Original Legend of the Vanishing Washington - Adam Weishaupt, the founder of the Bavarian Illuminati & the impostor who killed George Washington, took his place as the first president of the United States. Washington's portrait on the one-dollar bill is said to actually be Weishaupt's."

    WOOOOO!!! 23Skidoooooo!!!

    i'm no Einstein but 25 +3 has always totalled 28 i'm guessing they each paid $9.33. $9.33 x 3 = $27.99 + $2 = $29.99.
so the legend of the missing cent begins.
ok they probably made the drummer pay the missing cent

I'm no Einstein either but 10 minus 1 has always equalled 9, not 9.33.

  5. The drummer, eh? Now there's a lead. He ordered something extra from the McDonalds value meal that day, too.

10 - 1 is indeed 9 however if the effective total price of the romm is $25 and $3 is returned then in reality the 3 musicians have paid $28 for the room.shared equally this is $9.33.
    i ain't no Einstein but i am a wittgenstein

but physically -- each guy started out with a 10 dollar bill -- and each guy ended up with a 1 dollar bill. that's only 9 dollars each. there were no pennies involved -- just 10's and 1's.

  10. All right, I was being a little facetious & get accused of being too heavy.
    The motel kept $25, each sailor got $1, the bellhop kept $2: $25 + $3 + $2 =$30.
    Or the sailors each got $1 back from there original $10, they paid $9 each: $3 + ($9 x 3) = $30.
There are certain properties called distributive & communicative, anyone remember.
    Heavy enough?
Damn, you guys used to have a sense of humor. Gettin' back to class, late or otherwise, too tough for you? Or are you still mad about the brownies?

  12. YOU'VE got our buck! Don't deny it, we can tell because of how fast and loose you are with the numbers, Arithmetic Boy. First the brownies and now our change. If we didn't like you so much we'd sic the guys in Pre-Law on you. And while we're on the topic, 30 - 10 + 2 - (9x3) - 5 = 0. We don't know what that means but it all adds up to something.

  15. I haven't heard this brain teaser in over 40 years, my math teacher loved to fuck with our minds with shit like this.
My other fav was you have 11 fingers, count your fingers on your hands,1 to 10. fingers extended. now count backwards on 1 hand, 10,9,8,7,6 plus 5 on the other hand equals 11, that's where the buck is.

    BTW, music was OK.

  16. Yeah, but he's got 11 fingers and clams to know where our buck is. Sounds like a pick-pocket, doncha think?

  17. It's between my 10th and 11th fingers which are scratching my butt if anyone wants to come over and get it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. OK, not a pick "pocket" then.

  19. This is a killing joke, actually the last one I told my grandad, back in '77. He could not get where the missing bill was and laughed a lot, before taking a nap without waking up anymore, don't laugh, it's for real. He was 90 and left a virgin sister that died two months later, I regret having joked over that matter many times.

  21. Essential: a masterpiece of
    progressive rock music.

    Oh, wait...

That's the review for Grobschnitt's Solar Music...
    ...never mind...

More Krauty Floydy spacy goodness with
that special hint of groove. Great stuff.

Track 4 should be your first single,
it's got that timeless sound that spans genres,
    age groups and decades.

P.S. ABKCO has the missing dollar.

    Ask Jagger or Richards:)
